Construction Specialties, Inc. is seeking a Staff Accountant to support the monthly close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and business partnering.

The role emphasizes analyzing results, identifying drivers, and strengthening internal controls for decision‑useful insights. The successful candidate will handle journal entries, variances, intercompany activity, and budgeting support while collaborating with Corporate Finance and other departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred.
• 2–4 years in accounting, audit, or corporate finance; Big 4 exposure valued.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and ability to explain financial results.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review journal entries and reconciliations with accuracy.
• Analyze monthly results, variances, and key accounts for business partners.
• Support month-end/quarter-end close and reporting deadlines.
• Collaborate with Corporate departments on expense activity and cost allocations.
• Assist audits with schedules and documentation; maintain controls.
• Develop analytical schedules from large data sets; streamline processes.
• Provide forecasting support and budgeting analyses; translate activity into assumptions.
• Create reporting tools and analyses to improve visibility into performance.
