Job summary

WBHM Radio Station seeks a sponsorship officer to raise funds by developing relationships with corporations and nonprofits. You will manage contracts, ensure FCC compliance, and keep sponsors engaged while driving revenue for WBHM's programming and events.

The role requires a proactive communicator with strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple opportunities and maintaining sponsor portfolios. Hybrid work arrangement is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English, Media, Communications, Sales, Marketing, Public Administration, Business or a related field and two years related work experience.
• Work experience may not substitute for the education requirement.
• Alabama Driver's License or state ID required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Ensures adherence to FCC regulations regarding non-commercial sponsorship and on-air copy.
• Enter contracts into traffic software and secure signed contracts for audit purposes.
• Manage portfolio and pipeline of corporate and foundations in renewal processes.
• Oversee sponsorship CRM and database maintenance.
• Collaborate with clients to create strategic opportunities for increased funding year over year.
• Develop long-term partnerships with corporate, local, and nonprofit sectors.
• Identify new revenue opportunities within WBHM and its offerings for sponsorships.
• Maintain a mix of philanthropic events and broadcast/digital sponsorships.
• Handle monthly closeout, deposits, revenue reconciliation and billing status.
• Support WBHM community events and perform other duties as assigned.
