Job summary

Gwinnett Technical College seeks a Manager of Space Planning & Utilization to lead the campus space program, maintain accurate inventories, and drive utilization decisions. The role covers Lawrenceville and Alpharetta-North Fulton campuses and reports to Facilities leadership.

The ideal candidate has a Master’s degree and proven experience with space data systems, Ad Astra, and Banner, plus strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related field; experience managing space records or utilization in higher education; experience with Ad Astra and Banner data; familiarity with the Postsecondary Education Facilities Inventory and Classification Manual (FICM).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, database records, and reporting; ability to interpret floor plans and verify room information through field surveys.

Responsibilities

• Establish and advance the College’s space management function within Facilities; set priorities, develop procedures, and recommend space standards.
• Manage comprehensive space inventory across campuses; conduct field surveys and verify room dimensions and attributes.
• Serve as primary Facilities administrator for space records in Ad Astra; validate scheduling data and resolve discrepancies.
