Job summary

Highmark Health in Pittsburgh seeks a Workspace Design professional to support space planning, block planning, and as-built documentation for Corporate Real Estate Services. You will coordinate with Project Management and Client Relationship teams to update design drawings and maintain corporate standards across facilities.

The role requires CAD proficiency, knowledge of building codes, and experience with furniture and finish standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Interior Design
• 3-5 years of experience in commercial building construction, project management, property management, construction management, building systems, engineering, facilities management, or architectural design
• 4 years of experience in Design (Interior Design, Intern Architect, Draftsman, etc.)
• Strong CAD experience and understanding of local building codes, Life safety, ADA, etc.
• Familiarity with ICC/BOCA/ADA/OSHA codes and related regulations
• Understanding of corporate workflow and departmental operations

Responsibilities

• Occupancy, space planning and medium move support: analyze occupancy data and develop space planning strategies for current and forecasted needs
• Provide design support for medium-sized projects (half to full floor renovations) including block planning and test-fits
• Create and update As-built Documentation (Facility Drawings) and additional drawings for relocations, phasing, and furniture plans using CAD
• Ensure adherence to Corporate Standards for space, furniture, finishes, and employee space policies
• Review and recommend products for inclusion in Corporate Standards and stay current with new trends
• Communicate effectively with management, internal customers, external consultants, contractors and vendors
