Job summary

Accelera in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Strategic Sourcing Consultant to drive high-value procurement projects, optimize supplier relationships, and manage contracts. You will execute sourcing strategies, perform data analysis, and negotiate to ensure cost efficiency and peak supplier performance.

You will collaborate with Legal, Contracts, and Procurement teams while leveraging SAP and RFQ platforms to support Should-Cost analyses and supplier performance improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Lean Six Sigma or similar process improvement certification.
• Experience with contract management and procurement best practices.
• Experience using SAP/ERP and RFQ tools.

Responsibilities

• Direct supplier discussions and manage commodity initiatives.
• Create RFQ packages with drawings and files.
• Evaluate bids, pricing, forecasts and procurement records.
• Draft NDAs, amendments, and assignment documents.
• Maintain supplier and material data in SAP.
• Update MOQs, pricing, VMI, and terms.
• Track supplier scorecards and improve vendor performance.
• Resolve PO and portal discrepancies; support Should-Cost analyses.

Job description

We are looking for a skilled Strategic Sourcing Consultant to drive high-value procurement projects and optimize supplier relationships. This position focuses on executing sourcing strategies, managing contracts, conducting negotiations, and performing data analysis to ensure cost efficiency and peak supplier performance. We need a detail-oriented, business-savvy professional who thrives while balancing various sourcing tasks in a dynamic setting.

Core Responsibilities

• Direct supplier discussions and oversee commodity management initiatives.
• Create and circulate RFQ packages along with all necessary technical drawings and supporting files.
• Evaluate supplier bids, pricing structures, demand forecasts, and past procurement records to drive better financial outcomes.
• Draft and finalize essential legal documents, including NDAs, contract amendments, and assignment agreements.
• Generate Fair and Reasonable Price Justifications and other vital compliance records to ensure regulatory adherence.
• Oversee the integrity of supplier and material master records within the SAP environment.
• Execute updates regarding minimum order quantities, pricing, VMI, and contractual terms.
• Track supplier scorecards to help improve overall vendor performance and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve discrepancies related to purchase orders and supplier portal access.
• Assist in conducting Should-Cost Engineering analyses to optimize project budgets.
• Ensure all supplier records are kept current and accurate within our contract management systems.
• Collaborate effectively with Legal, Contracts, and Procurement teams to foster cross-functional success.

Professional Requirements

• Demonstrated expertise in procurement, sourcing, and negotiating with suppliers.
• Hands-on experience utilizing SAP/ERP systems, eSourcing software, and RFQ platforms.
• Strong analytical capabilities to solve complex procurement challenges.
• Exceptional organizational habits and a keen eye for detail.
• Proven ability to juggle multiple urgent priorities and meet strict deadlines.
• Deep understanding of business and financial principles to support strategic decision-making.
• High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office and various project management applications.

Desired Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree.
• Background in managing projects or complex contracts.
• Professional certification in Supply Chain, Procurement, or Contract Management.
• Experience applying Lean or Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement.
• Practical knowledge of supplier compliance, price modeling, and contract documentation.
