Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal seeks a Manager of Supply Chain: Procurement & Sourcing to lead complex client engagements in private equity, focusing on procurement and supply-chain improvement. You will work with private equity teams to design and implement value-driven sourcing solutions for portfolio companies.

Responsibilities include understanding client procurement, developing and executing sourcing strategies, negotiating with suppliers, and guiding cross-functional teams with quantitative analyses.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of combined consulting and/or industry operating experience.
• MBA preferred.
• Experience with private equity sponsors and portfolio companies.

Responsibilities

• Gain a comprehensive understanding of a client’s procurement organization and strategic sourcing capabilities.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with forecasting, demand/supply planning, inventory management, and logistics.
• Develop and manage sourcing and procurement efforts.
• Lead supplier identification, approval, contract/pricing negotiations, and vendor relations.
• Develop implementation plans to drive procurement and sourcing changes.
• Conduct analyses and lead teams on analysis depending on project scope.
