Job summary

STR is seeking a Senior Manager of Supply Chain to lead strategic sourcing across defense and government programs within the Contracts & Supply Chain team. You will direct category strategies, manage supplier relationships, and drive cost, schedule, and performance improvements while building high‑performing teams.

The role requires DoD/IC contracting experience, ability to obtain a security clearance, and a track record of leading negotiations and supplier risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher with 7+ years federal contracting experience; supervisory experience required.
• Experience leading supply chain teams in DoD/IC programs.
• Ability to interpret FAR/DFARS and apply federal acquisition policies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage strategic sourcing programs and category strategies.
• Analyze spend, demand, and market trends to identify savings and risk mitigation.
• Build multi-year sourcing roadmaps and prioritize initiatives.
• Lead supplier relationship programs with vendors and subcontractors.
• Negotiate terms, pricing, SLAs, and KPIs for best total value.
• Manage supplier performance with scorecards and QBRs.
• Identify and mitigate supplier risks including geopolitical and compliance.
