Job summary

The Toro Company in Bloomington, MN is seeking a Category Specialist to join our Integrated Supply Chain. You will drive supplier relationships, lead cost-reduction initiatives, and support LTAs and negotiations with cross-functional teams, contributing to operational excellence.

The role blends strategic and hands-on work, requires a bachelor’s degree in supply chain or engineering, SAP/ERP experience, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferred in a related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with internal/external stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to drive process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Enhance and grow supplier relationships through clear communication.
• Support development and implementation of supply agreements and LTAs.
• Lead cost-reduction strategy via negotiations and cross-functional collaboration.
• Review TCO analyses and guide the category team and leadership.
• Collaborate with Category Managers on contract implementation with suppliers.
• Lead and support supplier transitions and continuous improvement projects.
• Analyze quote packages with TCO model and select suppliers.
• Assist engineering on strategic initiatives and ECNs/ECOs.
• Reconcile PPV monthly and identify root causes of variances.
