Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 10+ years of proven procurement or sourcing experience.
• Strong data analysis and market interpretation to drive decisions.
• Excellent negotiation, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Excel, ERP systems, and sourcing software.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth spend analysis, market trends, and supplier landscapes to identify opportunities.
• Identify, assess, select, and build strong supplier relationships and monitor performance.
• Lead contract negotiations, manage RFPs/RFQs, and ensure favorable terms and compliance.
• Implement cost-reduction and quality-improvement strategies to maximize value.
• Develop improvements for sourcing, logistics and inventory processes.
• Collaborate with internal departments to align sourcing strategies with needs.
• Utilize data analytics, ERP systems (NetSuite a plus), and related tools for decision making.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Description:

The Strategic Sourcing Specialist is responsible for optimizing a company's procurement by analyzing spending, researching markets, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships to achieve best value, quality, and risk mitigation, using data analytics and technology to create efficient, cost-effective supply chains aligned with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth analysis of spend, market trends, and supplier landscapes to identify opportunities.
• Identify, assess, select, and build strong relationships with suppliers, monitoring their performance.
• Lead contract negotiations, manage RFPs/RFQs, and ensure favorable terms and compliance.
• Implement strategies to reduce costs and improve quality, driving maximum value for the business.
• Develop and implement improvements for sourcing, logistics, and inventory processes.
• Work closely with internal departments to understand needs and align sourcing strategies.
• Utilize data analytics, ERP systems, and potentially AI tools for informed decision-making. NetSuite knowledge would be a plus.
• Other job duties and assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or related quantitative field.
• 10+ Years proven experience in procurement, sourcing, or related roles.
• Strong ability to analyze data, interpret market info, and make data-driven decisions.
• Excellent negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Excel, ERP systems, and potentially sourcing/spend management software.
• Problem-solving, planning, detail-orientation, and multitasking

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
• May require up to 10% travel
