Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing or category management.
• Experience leading RFI, RFQ, and RFP processes.
• Contract negotiation and supplier management experience.

About the role:

Houston, TX

We are looking for a Category Sourcing Manager to lead strategic sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiations across assigned spend categories. You will manage the end-to-end sourcing lifecycle. This lifecycle includes RFI, RFQ, and RFP processes, supplier selection, contract negotiations, supplier relationship management, and ongoing supplier performance oversight.

You will partner with team members to identify savings opportunities, increase supplier relationships, improve operational efficiency, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end sourcing and contracting process, including RFI, RFQ, and RFP events for assigned categories and suppliers.
• Develop category strategies that deliver cost savings, value creation, risk mitigation, and supply continuity.
• Manage supplier selection, contract negotiations, implementation, renewals, and ongoing supplier performance.
• Conduct spend analysis and value opportunity assessments, presenting recommendations to team members.
• Build strategic supplier relationships while identifying emerging market trends, innovations, and sourcing opportunities.
• Implement and support Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) programs across assigned spend portfolios.
• Partner with teams and internal customers to align sourcing strategies with goals and operational requirements.
• Ensure supplier compliance with contractual obligations, service level agreements, and performance expectations.
• Lead large-scale sourcing projects, and supplier negotiations while driving process improvements.
• Develop procurement team members, including performance management, coaching, and professional development.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procurement standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with business leaders to optimize supplier performance, improve operational efficiency, and achieve sourcing goals.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, category management, procurement, supplier management, or supply chain operations.
• Experience leading RFI, RFQ, and RFP processes.
• Contract negotiation and supplier management experience.
