Job Overview

The Strategic Sourcing Specialist provides expertise in sourcing, commodities, and supply base management to ensure that all sourcing processes meet IPEG’s quality, supply security, and cost requirements. This position reports to the Director of Purchasing and is based in Franklin, Pennsylvania.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in cross-functional teams to develop strategies for sourcing assigned commodity-based items at the lowest total cost of ownership;
• Collect and analyze spend data, develop and evaluate RFPs, and evaluate and select suppliers;
• Organize and lead supplier audits, including commercial, financial, and technical assessments;
• Develop, track, and complete material cost reduction projects using VA/VE methods, supplier substitution, and negotiations;
• Communicate actively and proactively with suppliers regarding quality, on-time delivery, and cost issues.
