Job description

As Strategic Sourcing Senior Specialist HR Services, you are responsible for strategically managing all HR Services sourcing activities, including negotiating agreements that optimize the total value for PPG in compliance with established purchasing policies. You will also oversee projects and supplier relationships, support the execution of global strategies, conduct RFPs, lead supplier selection, and monitor compliance.

Supporting the Global Sourcing Manager in HR Services will be part of your role, involving data gathering, engagement, and execution in European and global projects. You will be based at the Pittsburgh General Office and report to the Strategic Sourcing Senior Manager.

Responsibilities:
  1. Support the Global Sourcing Manager in HR Services strategy preparation and execution. Drive the implementation of strategy-related projects.
  2. Provide support and guidance for stakeholders and the procurement team; drive and influence best practices where applicable.
  3. Prepare annual project plans to align with country and regional objectives and drive implementation.
  4. Identify and implement solutions to achieve cost reductions and cost avoidance through category knowledge, researching industry trends at the country and regional levels.
  5. Collaborate with relevant teams in each country to assess, optimize, and implement bid projects aligned with strategic roadmaps.
  6. Develop communication plans with stakeholders, reviewing critical suppliers, upcoming projects, and understanding future business needs.
  7. Work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and resolve issues promptly.
  8. Utilize electronic purchasing tools, including spend management software, to issue RFIs, RFPs, Dutch auctions, and reverse auctions for strategic sourcing.
  9. Promote and adhere to world-class purchasing practices that comply with PPG's Corporate Purchasing Policies.
Qualifications:
  1. Minimum of 5+ years of experience in purchasing, marketing, commercial roles, HR, or negotiations.
  2. Bachelor's degree, relevant procurement qualifications, or equivalent work experience in the field.
