Responsibilities

• Determines suppliers based on economics, quality and service levels.
• Selects and orders merchandise from supplier representatives.
• Investigates alternate sources of supply.
• Generates and proofs Purchase Orders and obtains approvals.
• Contacts carriers to arrange transportation of purchases.
• Ensures vendor performance and compliance with PO specifications.
• Facilitates return of merchandise due to issues.
• Maintains Item Master integrity in online records.
• Participates in staff meetings and required training.
• Provides input to Materials Manager to improve operations.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.
