Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking a Sourcing and Procurement Analyst to lead acquisition strategy during capture, power competitive proposals, strengthen supplier partnerships, and position GDIT for long-term mission success.

You will manage end-to-end sourcing events, develop and issue RFQs/RFPs, perform competitive analysis, support strategic sourcing activities, and support contract negotiations in alignment with GDIT’s risk mitigation process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 4 years of additional relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
• 2+ years of experience in government procurement or related fields encouraged to apply.
• Strong written and oral communication across all levels of the company.
• Ability to research, analyze, compile, and assess business and financial data.
• Ability to make sound decisions and recommendations in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple procurement projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support sourcing activities for a dedicated program, ensuring alignment with category strategies.
• Prepare and execute sourcing events, gather and validate business requirements, and assess supplier capabilities using structured evaluation criteria.
• Develop and issue RFQs, manage documentation and timelines, and perform supplier and cost analyses to inform recommendations.
• Maintain accurate records, uphold procurement policies and regulatory requirements, and ensure compliance throughout the sourcing lifecycle.
• Facilitate cross-functional communication, coordinate supplier meetings, drive issue resolution, and support early-stage supplier engagement.
• Identify process improvement opportunities, enhance workflows, and contribute to updates of procurement tools, templates, and best practices.
