Abbott Laboratories, based in Plano, TX, is seeking a Sourcing Manager to drive procurement across Mechanical, Batteries, and Precious Metals. You will partner with R&D, Quality, Operations, and Regulatory to deliver strategic sourcing programs that reduce total cost of ownership and strengthen supplier performance.

You will lead multi-functional teams, shape supplier strategies, and ensure timely delivery while maintaining high ethical and quality standards in a dynamic medical devices

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of deep Category/Commodity Management experience.
• 3-5 years of Contract experience.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
• Experience with Supplier management and ability to develop implementation plans.
• Knowledge of procurement processes and category technologies.
• Strong influence and negotiating skills.
• Experience leading teams (direct and indirect).

Responsibilities

• Develop sourcing strategies and translate them into actionable programs and projects.
• Influence and partner with business leaders and Corporate Procurement to develop and evolve sourcing strategies.
• Drive Total Cost of Ownership improvements across departments and with suppliers through analytics, market intelligence, and cost reduction initiatives.
• Lead global, cross-functional initiatives across virtual teams and cultures.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of services.
• Ensure contract terms align with business requirements.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to achieve goals.
• Negotiate major purchases within established authority limits.
