Job summary

Abbott, a global healthcare leader, is seeking a Senior Buyer Planner based in Princeton, NJ. You will plan and execute TPM raw material and finished goods deliveries, manage POs, and optimize inventory while coordinating with procurement and supplier relations.

This role supports Abbott Point of Care in a regulated manufacturing environment. You will drive supplier performance, participate in IBS planning, and lead cross-functional projects to improve costs and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Supply Chain, Business, Science, Engineering or in a related field of study.
• 7 years of professional experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing international supply chains portfolios over $20 million per annum.
• Advanced computer skills including MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of MRP, Purchasing, Production Principles, Lot Control, ISO, GMP, JIT, ERP.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule TPM Raw Material and Finished Goods deliveries to optimize inventory stock and supply continuity.
• Prepare and place POs per MRP/requisitions and monitor delivery to required date.
• Negotiate ETAs as needed and escalate to Procurement when required.
• Maintain clear documentation of Purchasing and Planning procedures and records.
• Develop and manage Supplier and Third Party Manufacturer relationships with KPIs (OTIF, Quality, SCARs).
• Lead cross-functional Integrated Business Planning (3–36 months) for your portfolio.
