Amazon seeks a Strategic Sourcing Manager for the Global Corporate Procurement team in New York. You will lead complex sourcing initiatives across Marketing, influence senior leaders, and drive data-driven decisions to optimize cost and performance.

You will manage RFx processes, benchmark supplier capabilities, and partner with finance to realize savings and total cost of ownership improvements. Amazon provides comprehensive benefits and RSU eligibility.

Qualifications

  • Experience in an indirect procurement function at a multinational corporation.
  • Experience with best-in-class procurement processes (category management, benchmarking, should-cost models, RFX, reverse auction, contracting, etc.).
  • 5+ years of relevant strategic sourcing including vendor negotiations, global contract management, process improvement, operational and financial analysis experience.
  • Proven track record managing Marketing categories with deep Market Research expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Establishing strong relationships with internal business stakeholders; building a strong understanding of strategic business direction, requirements and priorities across assigned suppliers and/or spend categories.
  • Dive deep across multiple business units to leverage supplier base with the goal of optimizing performance, quality, and cost.
  • Evaluate supplier core competencies and competitive positioning using industry cost models and benchmarking; leveraging insights to inform the sourcing strategy development.
  • Managing the fundamentals of sourcing and supplier engagement activities including RFx, spend pattern analysis, contract analysis, bid evaluation, negotiations, and supplier consolidation.
  • Identifying sourcing opportunities by leveraging spend analysis tools and engaging with stakeholders to consolidate requirements across categories, suppliers and geographies.
  • Work with business and finance leaders to identify and drive savings and controllership improvements, optimizing ROI and total cost of ownership.
  • Providing guidance to internal stakeholders on procurement processes and best-practice tools, such as category management, supplier evaluation and supplier diversity.

Key job responsibilities

Basic Qualifications
  • Experience in an indirect procurement function at a multinational corporation
  • Experience with practicing best‑in‑class procurement processes (category management, benchmarking, should‑cost models, RFX, reverse auction, contracting, etc.)
  • 5+ years of relevant strategic sourcing including vendor negotiations, global contract management, process improvement, operational and financial analysis experience
  • Proven track record managing Marketing categories with deep Market Research expertise

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
