Qualifications

• Experience in an indirect procurement function at a multinational corporation.
• Experience managing spend categories including IT Software, IT Services, Corporate Services, Marketing, Contingent labor, Facilities and Real estate, Capital Expenditure and Tail Spend (Indirect Categories).
• Experience with best-in-class procurement processes (category management, benchmarking, should-cost models, RFX, reverse auction, contracting).
• 5+ years of prior experience developing, leading, negotiating and executing sourcing engagements.

• Establish strong relationships with internal business partners and understand strategic direction and priorities across suppliers.
• Support execution of sourcing events across indirect spend categories.
• Deliver savings and increased spend under management by driving self-service sourcing adoption.
• Support enhancements and roadmap of the self-service sourcing application based on purchasing history.
• Manage RFx, spend pattern analysis, contract analysis, bid evaluation, negotiations and supplier consolidation.
• Work with finance leaders to identify savings and controllership improvements focusing on total cost of ownership.
• Provide guidance to stakeholders on procurement strategies and maintain ethics per Amazon policies.

Global Strategic Sourcing Manager play a pivotal role at Amazon, leading sourcing engagements across a wide range of business units to enable new initiatives to launch and scale rapidly. Global Strategic Sourcing Manager are expert practitioners in creating competitive environments, and have a strong bias for decision-making rooted in data and analytics. They routinely advise senior Amazon leaders on innovative sourcing strategies that create sustainable, long-term partnerships. They are highly effective communicators, able to articulate the value proposition of partnering with procurement.

Key job responsibilities

• - Establishing strong relationships with internal business partners; building a robust understanding of strategic business direction, requirements and priorities across assigned suppliers and/or spend categories
• - Supporting execution of sourcing events across all indirect spend categories
• - Delivering savings and increased spend under management by driving adoption of a automated self-service sourcing technology application
• - Supporting enhancements and the product development roadmap of the self-service sourcing application based upon purchasing history and stakeholder sourcing requirements
• - Managing the fundamentals of sourcing and supplier engagement activities including RFx, spend pattern analysis, contract analysis, bid evaluation, negotiations, and supplier consolidation
• - Working with business and finance leaders to identify and drive savings and controllership improvements, focusing on total cost of ownership.
• - Providing guidance to internal stakeholders on procurement strategies; maintaining procurement ethics in accordance with Amazon’s global policies

Basic Qualifications

• - Experience in an indirect procurement function at a multinational corporation
• - Experience managing spend categories that include three or more of the following: IT Software, IT Services, Corporate Services, Marketing, Contingent labor, Facilities and Real estate, Capital Expenditure and Tail Spend (Indirect Categories)
• - Experience with practicing best-in-class procurement processes (category management, benchmarking, should-cost models, RFX, reverse auction, contracting, etc.)
• - 5+ years of prior experience developing, leading, negotiating and executing sourcing engagements

• - Bachelor's degree or equivalent
