Job summary

SPX, a global infrastructure solutions leader, is hiring a Category (Strategic Sourcing) Manager for Indirect Spend in Kansas. You will develop category strategies, lead negotiations, and partner with IT, Legal, Finance, and Cybersecurity to ensure compliant, cost‑effective contracts.

You will drive supplier relationships, manage risk, and deliver measurable savings across IT, services, and travel, with 25%+ travel and a fast‑paced, matrixed environment.

Qualifications

• 5 to 8+ years’ relevant work experience in global manufacturing with multi-site exposure.
• International experience strongly preferred.
• Experience in indirect categories including IT, services, and travel.
• Proven track record in complex negotiations and cross-functional sourcing.
• Ability to deliver measurable savings and manage supplier performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own category strategies for indirect spend, including IT, services, and travel.
• Lead RFx events, analyze total cost, and drive contract negotiations.
• Partner with IT, Legal, Finance, Cybersecurity, and stakeholders to meet requirements.
• Build strategic supplier relationships and drive continuous improvement.
• Identify savings, standardization, and process improvements across categories.
• Monitor market trends and licensing models to inform sourcing decisions.
