Job summary

Sportech, Inc. in Elk River, MN is seeking a Supplier Development professional to improve supplier performance and support activities across production quality, new product launches, supplier assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.

You will collaborate with Operations, Quality Engineering, Strategic Sourcing, and NPD to increase PPAP approval rates and reduce scrap dollars. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field with 5+ years in supplier development

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Experience in Supplier Development or related discipline.
• Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma principles.

Responsibilities

• Select, onboard, train, track and develop the supply base.
• Act as the primary quality assurance resource for supplier issues.
• Communicate significant QA issues to suppliers and ensure resolution.
• Lead corrective action activities with suppliers.
• Support supplier inspections and testing to ensure standards.
