What You Will Be Doing

We are seeking a Sourcing Manager to lead strategic sourcing initiatives and supplier negotiations on our Own Brands Team. This role requires collaboration with stakeholders, suppliers, and cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have sourcing or supply chain experience, especially in Fresh, and strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.

Location options include Pleasanton, CA; Boise, ID; or regional offices in Seattle, WA; Portland, OR; Denver, CO; Dallas, TX; Chicago, IL; or Fullerton, CA; Phoenix, AZ.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Lead sourcing efforts for categories with annual spend up to $300M+ with complex requirements, following standard sourcing processes.
  2. Negotiate with suppliers to secure optimal pricing, terms, and conditions, ensuring industry compliance.
  3. Monitor market trends, price fluctuations, and industry news to identify risks and opportunities.
  4. Partner with stakeholders to develop and implement sourcing strategies that balance cost, quality, and supply.
  5. Manage sourcing for new products and innovations within owned categories.
  6. Negotiate and develop contract terms, working with Legal as needed.
  7. Analyze bid data and perform financial modeling to support sourcing decisions.
  8. Facilitate cross-functional meetings to keep projects on track and report challenges to management.
  9. Summarize financials and present recommendations to leadership.
  10. Manage cost increase negotiations and identify savings opportunities.
  11. Lead supplier transitions, ensuring documentation accuracy and completeness.
  12. Adhere to SOX policies and procedures within the sourcing department.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business/Logistics preferred.
  • 6-8 years of experience in contract negotiation, supplier management, and purchasing.
  • Experience with sustainability and traceability initiatives.
  • Strong negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Understanding of manufacturing, distribution, and logistics.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in sourcing systems and enterprise software.
  • Knowledge of contract law and regulations relevant to food and drug industry.
  • Ability to lead, mentor, and work with cross-functional teams.
Additional Information

Salary range: $95,400 - $123,900 annually, with potential flexibility for exceptional candidates. Benefits include health insurance, PTO, holidays, retirement plans, and possibly quarterly bonuses.
