Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain or related field
  • 7+ years in strategic sourcing or procurement
  • Experience managing regional/national supplier relationships and negotiating complex commercial agreements
  • Strong understanding of sourcing strategy, supplier management, contract negotiations, rebates, and cost optimization
  • Experience working across multiple business units, divisions, or geographically dispersed operations
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen with the ability to identify and quantify sourcing opportunities
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, relationship-building, and influencing skills

Responsibilities

  • Develop, negotiate, and manage strategic relationships with regional and national suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, subcontractors, and other key partners.
  • Develop an effective inbound supply strategy to ensure appropriate product and supplier coverage across categories.
  • Lead strategic sourcing initiatives across key spend categories, identifying opportunities for cost savings, improved service, supplier diversification, and risk mitigation.
  • Own the new product rollout process, including supplier contracting, product setup, and option/code strategies.
  • Conduct market research and monitor industry trends, supplier innovation, and emerging opportunities to influence sourcing and product strategies.
  • Establish supplier performance expectations and drive accountability through KPIs, scorecards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead negotiations and execution of regional and national supplier agreements supporting multiple operating divisions.
  • Identify and implement rebate programs, incentives, and other value-added supplier opportunities in partnership with Corporate Purchasing.
  • Manage contract renewals and identify opportunities to improve commercial terms and supplier value.
  • Ensure agreements support business objectives, compliance requirements, operational needs, and long-term sourcing strategies.
  • Partner with Division Purchasing Leaders to drive adoption and effective execution of national agreements and sourcing initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships with field teams through regular site and division visits, developing a deeper understanding of operational needs and opportunities.
  • Serve as a key liaison between corporate leadership and operating divisions, communicating supplier updates, product changes, market intelligence, and sourcing initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Design Center teams to optimize product selections and enhancements in alignment with strategic sourcing objectives.
  • Manage rebate tracking and reporting systems and ensure accurate financial capture and reporting.
  • Monitor supplier offerings, manufacturer updates, market conditions, and industry developments to proactively adjust sourcing strategies.
  • Identify and implement process improvements that increase efficiency, standardization, visibility, and scalability across the procurement organization.
  • Help establish and continuously improve sourcing processes, tools, and best practices across the enterprise.

Our client is a well-established organization with a significant footprint and a growing focus on strengthening its enterprise-wide procurement and strategic sourcing capabilities. They are seeking an experienced National Strategic Sourcing Manager to help drive supplier strategy, cost optimization, operational consistency, and long-term value creation across the organization.

This is a highly visible role that partners closely with senior procurement leadership and operating divisions. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic sourcing mindset, strong supplier and negotiation skills, and the ability to translate corporate strategy into practical execution across the field.

What You'll Do
Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management
  • Develop, negotiate, and manage strategic relationships with regional and national suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, subcontractors, and other key partners.
  • Develop an effective inbound supply strategy to ensure appropriate product and supplier coverage across categories.
  • Lead strategic sourcing initiatives across key spend categories, identifying opportunities for cost savings, improved service, supplier diversification, and risk mitigation.
  • Own the new product rollout process, including supplier contracting, product setup, and option/code strategies.

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
  • Proven experience managing regional or national supplier relationships and negotiating complex commercial agreements.
  • Strong understanding of sourcing strategy, supplier management, contract negotiations, rebates, and cost optimization.
  • Experience working across multiple business units, divisions, or geographically dispersed operations.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen with the ability to identify and quantify sourcing opportunities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, relationship-building, and influencing skills.
  • Comfortable working strategically at the corporate level while also engaging directly with field and operational teams.
  • Willingness to travel regularly to operating divisions and supplier locations as needed.
