Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least five (5) years purchasing/strategic sourcing experience; 3+ years in operations/supply chain
• Experience with contract manufacturing vendors
• Some international sourcing experience preferred
• Ability to manage projects and establish clear goals and accountability
• Knowledge of supplier agreements and contracts (legal terminology)
• Advanced Excel and MS Office skills; strong presentation and communication abilities

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for specified commodities
• Negotiate supplier agreements to achieve lowest total cost of ownership
• Manage supplier relationships and performance metrics
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to implement procurement initiatives
• Support planning, budgeting and demand forecasting for commodities
• Ensure compliance with purchasing policies and drive process efficiency
• Identify and mitigate supplier risks and cost drivers
• Monitor industry trends and opportunities to optimize supply base
