Job summary

Roers Companies in Plymouth, Minnesota seeks a Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead and optimize sourcing strategies for construction materials and subcontracted services. You will manage supplier partnerships, drive performance, and achieve the lowest total cost of ownership for assigned categories, reporting to the Director of Purchasing.

The role emphasizes cost optimization, value improvement, risk mitigation, and strong stakeholder collaboration across construction teams to support project

Qualifications

• 8+ years of strategic sourcing experience in direct or project-based categories (construction, manufacturing, or similar environments)
• 4+ years of experience developing, negotiating, and implementing various contract types (including supplier or subcontractor contracts)
• Strong background working cross-functionally to drive business outcomes

Responsibilities

• Define and execute annual sourcing calendar for assigned construction categories with input from plans, pipeline, and market conditions
• Build collaborative relationships to define requirements for materials and subcontractor services balancing cost, quality, and schedule
• Track cost drivers, develop countermeasures, forecast, and maintain cost models for construction materials and services
• Lead end-to-end sourcing processes and coordinate with preconstruction, construction, and procurement stakeholders
