Job summary

Neurocrine Biosciences seeks a Senior Sourcing Leader to oversee the Sourcing team, shaping multi-year category strategies and leading high-impact engagements. You will drive supplier performance, risk management and governance while partnering with senior stakeholders to align priorities and optimize total cost.

You will translate business needs into actionable sourcing plans, coach talent, and advance source-to-pay processes across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field and 12+ years in sourcing or supply chain.
• Master’s degree in related field with 10+ years of experience.
• APICS, CPSM, or Lean certifications preferred.
• Proven people management experience.
• Deep expertise in strategic sourcing and supplier management.
• Ability to translate strategy into practical sourcing plans.
• Strong analytical and financial skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Sourcing team and manage high-value/high-risk initiatives.
• Develop and execute multi-year sourcing and category strategies.
• Provide direction for complex sourcing engagements (RFPs/RFIs/RFQs) and negotiations.
• Partner with senior leaders to align requirements and strategy across functions.
• Identify and document savings, cost avoidance and process improvements.
• Provide leadership for supplier management and governance programs.
• Ensure adherence to procurement policies and regulations.
• Lead third-party risk management activities.
• Represent Sourcing in enterprise initiatives and drive outcomes.
• Define strategic roadmaps for sourcing capabilities and governance.
• Hire, coach and develop team members; manage performance and succession.
