Job summary

Nephron Pharmaceuticals seeks a Procurement Category Manager to optimize costs and contracting for assigned categories in the US. You will analyze data, negotiate terms, and guide strategies to improve pricing, service quality, and inventory availability.

You will collaborate with buyers, manage vendor relationships, forecast demand, and support category budgeting while ensuring alignment with company goals and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years of related experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences preferred but not required.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data to determine industry and consumer trends.
• Develop long-term strategies for product categories.
• Foster relationships with vendors to improve pricing and quality.
• Place purchase orders to ensure product availability meeting demand.
• Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to optimize value.
• Manage inventory and track orders for timely delivery.
• Forecast demand and support category budgeting and revenue.
• Collaborate with buyers and merchandisers to grow categories.
• Support price disputes resolution and vendor performance.
