Edwards Vacuum in Basom, NY is seeking a Senior Sourcing Specialist to lead procurement for vacuum pump components, focusing on quality, price, and delivery performance.

You will identify suppliers, collaborate with engineering and production teams, and negotiate Master Supply Agreements while driving continuous improvement through KPIs such as quality, on-time delivery, cost, and working capital.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in manufacturing or procurement in a production environment.
• Solid negotiation skills.
• Results focused with the ability to report on KPIs.
• Analyze and use critical thinking, identifying root causes with facts and data.
• Proficient in reading blueprints and technical specifications.

Responsibilities

• Identify and research new suppliers and sourcing opportunities globally, with a focus on local sourcing when feasible.
• Collaborate with engineering, product management, and production teams on material requirements.
• Develop and cultivate relationships with supplier base as escalation point of contact
• Negotiate Master Supply Agreements with key suppliers per Company requirements
• Use root-cause analysis to drive continuous improvement across KPIs: quality, on-time delivery, cost, working capital
• Develop and implement commodity strategies to map current and future states for continuous improvement
• Utilize quoting, value engineering, and make-vs-buy analyses to support cost-reduction efforts
• Support Operational Purchasing with vendor creation and maintenance
• Collaborate to optimize purchasing plans for production and lowest TCO
• Participate in supplier business reviews and scorecards
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
• Comply with safety and ethics requirements
