Edwards Vacuum is seeking a Senior Sourcing Specialist to lead procurement for vacuum pump components, ensuring quality, cost, and on‑time delivery targets are met. You will research suppliers globally with emphasis on local sourcing when feasible and collaborate with engineering and production to align material requirements.

Responsibilities include negotiating Master Supply Agreements, driving continuous improvement via root-cause analysis, and implementing commodity strategies to reduce total

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in manufacturing or procurement in a production environment.
• Solid negotiation skills.
• Results focused with the ability to report on KPIs.
• Analyze and use critical thinking to identify root causes with facts and data.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints and technical specifications.
• Experience with casting, machining, assembly, and metal fabrication processes is a plus.
• Proficient in English; second language is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel and Word.
• Experience with MRP systems; SAP preferred.

Responsabilités

• Identify and research new suppliers and sourcing opportunities globally, with a focus on local sourcing when feasible.
• Collaborate with engineering, product management, and production teams on material requirements.
• Develop and cultivate relationships with supplier base and act as escalation point.
• Negotiate Master Supply Agreements with key suppliers.
• Use root‑cause analysis to drive continuous improvement across quality, on‑time delivery, cost, and working capital.
• Develop and implement commodity strategies to map current and future states.
• Support cost-reduction efforts with quoting, value engineering, and make-vs-buy analyses.
• Assist Operational Purchasing with vendor creation and maintenance.
• Collaborate with Planning to optimize purchasing plans for production and lowest TCO.
• Participate in supplier business reviews and scorecard processes.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Comply with safety and ethics requirements.
