Edwards Company is seeking a Senior Sourcing Engineer to join our Basom, NY team. This direct-hire role focuses on strategic supplier development, cost reduction, and cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Product Management, Production and Planning to ensure materials meet cost, quality and delivery targets.

Qualifications

• 8+ years experience in manufacturing, procurement, sourcing.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Results-oriented with ability to monitor KPIs.
• Analytical with root-cause problem solving using data and facts.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical specifications.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
• On-site in Basom, NY.

Responsibilities

• Identify and research new suppliers globally with local sourcing when feasible.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product Management and Production to meet material needs.
• Negotiate Master Supply Agreements with key suppliers.
• Drive improvements in quality, on-time delivery, cost and working capital.
• Develop commodity strategies and support cost-reduction initiatives.
• Support vendor creation and maintenance in procurement systems.
• Collaborate with Purchasing and Planning to optimize purchasing strategies and production requirements.
• Participate in supplier reviews and scorecards.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Maintain safety, ethics and quality compliance.
