Job summary

AM General LLC seeks an experienced Senior Manager - Strategic Sourcing (Project Management) to lead strategic purchasing plans for complex projects. You will mentor teams, partner with cross-functional groups, and drive supplier selection, cost reductions, and value capture initiatives.

The role requires building KPIs, analyzing data, and ensuring compliance with regulations while advancing procurement strategies that align with business goals. Remote work will be considered for this position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years in a leadership/management role.
• Experience in developing supply chain strategies and KPI dashboards.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive initiatives to completion.
• Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
• Familiarity with procurement laws and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic purchasing plans aligned with project goals.
• Lead team members, provide guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback.
• Act as project manager and partner with cross-functional team to set requirements, specs, and timelines.
• Identify and qualify suppliers based on capabilities, reliability, cost, and quality.
• Monitor market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Generate reports on purchasing activities and cost savings for senior management.
• Collaborate with finance, operations, and legal to coordinate purchasing activities.
• Stay updated on procurement laws and best practices.
• Develop KPIs to measure value capture initiatives.
• Support revenue growth by optimizing value across business functions.
