Job summary

Northern Trust in Chicago seeks a senior procurement professional to develop enterprise-wide sourcing strategies, manage RFx processes, and lead contract negotiations to support the business.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain or Finance, 6+ years in sourcing, strong Excel/ERP experience (PeopleSoft/Workday), and excellent negotiation and cross-functional collaboration skills. Knowledge of regulatory requirements is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or Finance is preferred.
• Six or more years' experience in sourcing or procurement.
• Advanced negotiation skills.
• Experience with labor contracts or managed services contracts is desired.
• Experience with sourcing and procurement applications (Coupa, Workday, PeopleSoft).

Responsibilities

• Develops procurement practices enterprise-wide, including category sourcing strategies.
• Develops, implements and communicates strategies to meet business unit plans.
• Leads RFx processes including project management, negotiations and awards.
• Contracts: review, drafting, and negotiations of NDAs, Master Agreements, SOS.
• Maintain procurement processes and supplier performance reviews.
• Ensure regulatory and compliance requirements are met.
• Report procurement metrics and support audits.
