Job summary

BW Packaging is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Specialist – OEM to develop and execute sourcing strategies for OEM equipment and services. You will engage early in opportunity cycles, align commercial terms, and partner across Packaging including Project Management, Applications, Sales, Finance, and Field Service to meet business goals and client commitments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Business, Engineering, or related field.
• Five years purchasing or strategic sourcing experience preferred in the Capital Equipment industry.
• MRP and supply chain knowledge required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
• Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) certification desired.
• Ability to travel to OEM manufacturing sites, BW facilities, and client sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop sourcing strategies for OEM equipment and services that balance total cost, quality, technical capability, delivery, service support, and supply risk.
• Negotiate supplier contracts including pricing, payment terms, delivery, freight, and penalty clauses.
• Coordinate with Applications team to obtain supplier quotations, cost information, and delivery commitments; engage early before incorporation into opportunities.
• Serve as primary liaison between Packaging’s Automation and Integration team and suppliers.
• Maintain a disciplined approach to cash flow by aligning supplier commitments with customer contract terms.
• Analyze system-generated and manual requirements to ensure timely placement of purchase orders.
