Job summary

BW Packaging seeks a Strategic Sourcing Specialist – OEM to develop and execute sourcing strategies for OEM equipment integrated into BW Packaging Systems Automation and Integration projects. The role engages early in opportunity cycles to align commercial terms and supports cross-functional teams to meet business goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field.
• Five years of Purchasing or Strategic Sourcing experience.
• MRP and supply chain knowledge required.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong follow-through.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
• Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) certification desired.
• Ability to travel to OEM sites, BW facilities, and client sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop sourcing strategies for OEM equipment and services.
• Negotiate supplier contracts, including pricing, payment terms, delivery, freight, and penalties.
• Coordinate with Applications team for quotations, cost info, and delivery commitments.
• Serve as liaison between Packaging's Automation & Integration team and suppliers.
• Manage purchase orders using the ERP planning system; monitor schedules.
• Drive supplier performance improvements and ensure cash-flow alignment.
• Assist with onboarding of new suppliers and MSAs; support capacity planning.
• Apply analytical, strategic-planning, and change-management skills to improve OEM operations.
