Job summary

New Pig is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Specialist - Manufacturing to manage tactical purchasing and strategic sourcing for our manufacturing operations. You will oversee supplier relationships, procurement processes, and cost-effective sourcing of materials, services and capital expenditures, ensuring timely availability of supplies and driving cost improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with data reporting skills.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, drawings, and engineered products.
• Excellent negotiation and supplier management capabilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint; BI tools.
• Experience with ERP/MRP or similar procurement systems.
• Pro-active problem solver; identifies and solves issues.
• Strong communication and cross-functional leadership.
• Initiative-driven with a goal-oriented mindset.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Create and process purchase orders, ensuring timely procurement.
• Follow up on delivery dates and address delays or disruptions.
• Reconcile inventory discrepancies with warehouse and finance.
• Maintain data accuracy in the MRP system.
• Investigate supplier invoice discrepancies and ensure timely payments.
• Develop and manage relationships with key suppliers for cost, quality, delivery.
• Lead contract negotiations to secure favorable pricing and terms.
• Onboard new suppliers to ensure supply continuity and cost competitiveness.
• Measure supplier performance using KPIs to drive improvement.
• Support inventory planning by advising on purchasing needs.
• Analyze financial, sales, and operational data to identify cost savings.
• Report to Senior Management on objectives, trends, and costs.
• Support procurement system development and improvements.
• Contribute to a positive work environment aligned with New Pig culture.
• Adhere to safety, environmental, and quality standards.
