SpaceX is seeking a Sourcing Manager for the Starship Launch Pad to lead strategic supplier engagement, contract negotiations, and cost optimization across launch programs. The role focuses on developing sourcing strategies, managing supplier performance, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to meet aggressive cost and delivery targets.

The position is based on-site at Cape Canaveral, FL, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree with 3+ years in supply chain or a Bachelor's with 5+ years in related fields.
• Experience in Purchasing, Material or Production Planning, or Operations management.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Create commodity and capital sourcing strategies to reduce risk and enable cost reductions.
• Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders to evaluate sourcing models.
• Develop and improve sourcing strategies to meet Launch & Recovery program targets.
• Evaluate suppliers for capability, quality, reliability, and price competitiveness.
• Conduct supplier analysis to plan strategic sourcing and ensure continuity of supply for new products.
• Manage purchase orders and master data to ensure accurate information.
• Identify and execute cost-reduction projects and provide updates to stakeholders.
• Negotiate terms to maximize value and reduce risk.
• Perform market research and act as a market intelligence provider for categories.
• Drive improvements in supplier quality, service levels, and cost effectiveness.
