Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Sourcing Manager for Starship in Starbase, TX. You will lead procurement strategies, negotiate high-value contracts, and manage supplier relations to support Starship production.

You will collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and NPI teams to ensure cost-effective, on-time parts delivery and robust supply chain performance in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree with 3+ years in Engineering, Purchasing, Contract negotiation, Material planning, Operations, or supply chain management.
• Alternatively, a bachelor’s degree with 5+ years in the same fields.

Responsibilities

• Analyze supplier spend, capacity, and develop negotiation strategies.
• Ensure lineside health aligns with MRP Demand plan (min/max/reorder-points).
• Own work center material health with production and engineering oversight.
• Solve problems and recover from shortages, supporting inventory demand-supply planning.
• Lead outsourcing and cross-functional projects.
• Negotiate high-value contracts and terms with suppliers.
• Interpret contract terms and advise on procedures.
• Act as liaison on contractual matters with customers and suppliers.
• Develop commodity strategies for sheet metal, raw material, machined parts, and hardware.
• Be the go-to for engineering and NPI sourcing, make-versus-buy decisions, and lead times.
