Job summary

SpaceX in Hawthorne, CA is seeking a Sourcing Manager (Starship) to develop the sourcing strategy and supplier base needed to scale Starship production and meet aggressive cost goals. You will analyze supplier spend, lead negotiations, expand core vendors, and guide NPI sourcing while coordinating with engineering, manufacturing and program stakeholders to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree and 3+ years of relevant experience, or 5+ years with a bachelor’s degree, or 9+ years total experience in engineering, purchasing, contracts, operations, or cost control.

Responsibilities

• Balance cost, reliability, and production rate while aligning with program goals and deadlines.
• Analyze supplier spend, capacity and capabilities to shape negotiation strategies.
• Develop and expand the supplier base, monitor vendor performance in cost, quality, and delivery.
• Lead sourcing and cost-management strategies with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure inventory health and on-time production by coordinating with vendors and internal teams.
