Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a detail-oriented Lead Sourcing Specialist to optimize procurement operations, manage supplier relationships, and drive cost-effective CAPEX and production ramp-up sourcing. You will coordinate with internal teams and oversee RFQs, POs, and contract execution to ensure timely material delivery.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in sourcing/procurement in manufacturing, strong negotiation skills, and experience with SAP/ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain roles.
• Ability to work in manufacturing and fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Industry experience is a plus.
• Proficient with SAP and ERP systems.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Place and follow-up on POs; manage supplier relationships for PO execution.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies balancing cost and quality.
• Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers.
• Build and maintain vendor relationships ensuring performance and compliance.
• Manage CAPEX sourcing for equipment, tooling, facilities, and infra projects.
• Coordinate with internal teams to align procurement timelines.
• Oversee bidding, contract negotiations, and finalization for capital projects and services.
• Support cross-functional teams to enable cost-effective product launches.
• Manage RFQ processes, supplier selection, and procurement readiness for ramp-up.
• Implement and monitor Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) programs.
• Evaluate supply chain constraints and negotiate improved lead times.
• Oversee procurement activities including RFQs, POs, and contracts.
• Conduct market research to inform procurement actions.
