Uesco Industries in Alsip, IL is seeking a Buyer to own the purchasing lifecycle for a manufacturing environment, from requisitions to vendor selection and delivery. You will negotiate terms, track deliveries and align logistics to keep the shop floor moving.

This in-person, day-shift role requires strong computer skills, ERP/MRP proficiency, and accurate typing. You will coordinate freight, collaborate with production/finance, and help maintain optimal inventory levels as the company

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of buyer/purchasing experience preferred.
• English language required.
• Experience in manufacturing or industrial procurement a plus.
• Willingness to commute to Alsip, IL with relocation to Hammond, IN in 2027.

Responsabilités

• Own the purchasing lifecycle from requisition to delivery.
• Source best-fit vendors for materials and shop supplies.
• Negotiate pricing/terms to balance savings and quality.
• Coordinate inbound/outbound freight and set production schedules.
• Maintain inventory to avoid shortages and excessive stock.
• Align purchasing with production, shipping, and finance functions.
