Job summary

Wesco is seeking a Senior Sourcing Analyst to support sourcing, procurement, and sales teams. You will lead implementation of supply chain initiatives, contract administration, and negotiations of strategic categories, collaborating with the supply chair director on new and expanding business.

You will be the primary contact for suppliers, manage supply chain processes, and develop inventory strategies aiming for low total ownership costs while maintaining high material availability.

Qualifications

• Bachelors' degree in Business or related required.
• CPM or CPSM certification preferred.
• 4 years of related work experience (6 years preferred).
• 2 years of sourcing experience (4 years preferred).

Responsibilities

• Negotiate contract elements, including terms, pricing, and lead-time.
• Manage suppliers' performance and metrics.
• Develop corrective action plans for performance failures.
• Prepare, distribute and award RFQ blankets and review expiring blankets for re-bid.
• Obtain pricing and analyze market baskets to win or expand business.
• Maintain information in purchasing database.
• Drive suppliers to electronic/automated interfaces and analyze spend and product mix.
• Serve as customer lead and alliance manager for supply chain issues.
• Develop knowledge of market drivers, trends, and competitive intelligence.
• Analyze material demand and determine inventory strategies for availability at low total ownership costs.
• Lead supplier negotiations and category strategy development, and implement solutions.
• Provide leadership and training to sourcing analysts.
• Participate in new customer startups and implementations.
• Ensure commodity and inventory strategies align with customer initiatives.
