An established industry player seeks a strategic sourcing leader to drive cost reduction and supplier performance in IT and Electric Motor categories. This role involves leading critical projects, negotiating with suppliers, and developing category management strategies. Leads, oversees, and executes projects relating to strategic sourcing, ongoing supplier maintenance programs, and overall process improvements.
Specifically for the IT and Electric Motor Categories:
- Lead assigned projects to successful conclusion or implementation.
- Identify new areas of potential cost reduction for the company and develop strategies to realize the benefits.
- Lead and execute strategic sourcing initiatives through implementation for IT, motors and various support categories
- Evaluate the performance of suppliers and suggest improvements.
- Develop and administer a Category Management Enterprise strategy for IT and support strategy for other direct categories including but not limited to Motors, Electronics and various support for indirect categories.
- Ensure compliance with preferred suppliers, develop category specific scorecards and supplier relationship management strategies
- Negotiate with suppliers to reach mutually beneficial solutions.

Ability to:

- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills needed to influence without direct authority.
- Effectively interact with internal customers and upper management to ensure that all requirements are being met.
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
Knowledge:
- Extensive knowledge of Strategic Sourcing and Category Management concepts specifically applied to IT.
- Knowledge and experience related but not limited to IT Hardware, Software, Cybersecurity, Third party Sourcing for IT SOW’s, SAAS, Oracle Applications, Telematics, Motors and VFD’s
Minimum Education and Certification:
- Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
- Typically at least 10 years experience in a supply chain or related role.
Leadership:
- Performs many of same duties as team but training, assigning, monitoring, checking and coordinating work of the of the team is a major part of the job.
- Will be the lead on several company critical initiatives related to their respective categories
