Job summary

Penn Medicine Lancaster General Hospital is seeking a Full-Time 1st Shift Sourcing and Inventory Specialist to join the Materials Management team in Lancaster, PA. The role focuses on receipt, storage and timely distribution of supplies and coordinating with vendors and clinical departments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years in medical supply management or warehouse environment required.
• 1+ years of experience with inventory management software, barcode systems and related tools required.
• Medicare/Medicaid provider in good standing required.
• Associate's degree preferred; 3+ years in medical supply management preferred; Lawson ERP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receipt tracking, storage, dispersal, evaluation and expedition of supplies and purchase orders.
• Coordinate sourcing of materials and maintain inventory movement and control.
• Communicate issues related to inventory, recalls, or conflicts to vendors and departments.
• Develop economical levels of supplies with department managers and generate reports.
• Manage flow with vendors to minimize backorders and stock issues.
• Enter requisitions into the PennForFSM Materiel Management system.
• Identify high-usage items for storeroom and adjust inventory accordingly.
• Assist with productivity analysis and best-practice inventory control.
