Job summary

Anduril Industries in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Product Sourcing Engineer to drive strategic supply-network development and cost management across product lifecycles, collaborating with engineering, quality, and manufacturing.

You will select suppliers from the approved list, partner with strategic suppliers to accelerate development, consolidate BOMs, manage CAPEX through NPI, and perform value‑stream mapping and risk assessments to ensure qualification before production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in sourcing engineering, supplier engagement and development, or design of electronics and/or mechanical devices.
• Domain expertise of value/procurement engineering or TCO-related work at the component & product level.
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
• Ability to relocate, if not already local to be onsite in Huntsville, AL.

Responsibilities

• Conduct supplier selection for a specific product, leveraging our approved supplier list.
• Partner with strategic suppliers to accelerate product development via activities such as concept scoping, trade-off analysis, should-cost models, and joint design development.
• Drive the development and consolidation of a manufacturing BOM, to ramp production with high flexibility.
• Manage the CAPEX throughout NPI and conduct value-stream mapping to optimize lead times.
• Complete BOM risk assessments and ensure component qualifications ahead of production.
• Lead cost engineering activities to converge cost curves to product cost and manage tariffs/cost inflation.
