Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics in Boston is seeking an experienced Senior Sourcing leader to partner with business units across API, drug product and CDMO sourcing. You will build multi-year plans, manage supplier performance and lead a small team to deliver objectives.

The role emphasizes category management, negotiation, risk mitigation, and cost savings, with hybrid work and a blend of strategic and hands-on procurement responsibilities. A GMP/ISO familiarity and strong analytics are preferred.

Qualifications

10+ years in API/drug product/CDMO sourcing (pharma).
Bachelor's in chemistry/biochemistry/chemical engineering (preferred).
Track record negotiating contracts, managing suppliers, and driving cost savings.
Working knowledge of AI-based sourcing/contracting desired; small-molecule manufacturing knowledge desired.
GMP/ISO/regulatory familiarity.
Travel as needed.

Responsibilities

Partner with senior leaders to develop multi-year sourcing plans.
Lead the small molecule sourcing team to meet objectives.
Identify suppliers for raw materials, API, drug product, finished goods, and CDMO services.
Develop and manage category strategies; negotiate contracts and RFx.
Mitigate risks, drive cost savings, and pursue process improvements.
Monitor market trends and emerging technologies.
Streamline sourcing processes using analytics and KPIs.
Support budgeting and long-range planning; evaluate BOM costs.
