Job summary

Talentify is seeking a Commodity Manager in Atlanta to independently manage strategic sourcing, contracts, and governance across global suppliers. You will drive negotiations, supplier performance, and spend management to achieve cost and value targets.

The role requires at least five years in commodity/supply chain management with deep IT/software procurement knowledge. Hybrid work (3-4 days onsite) in the Atlanta area is offered.

Qualifications

• BA/BS undergraduate degree is required.
• At least five years of progressive commodity/supply chain management experience; five years of direct source-to-contract experience.
• Experience with IT and software procurement concepts, including SaaS, cloud architecture, IT labor SOWs, and software licensing.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills with understanding of terms and risk.
• Knowledge of ethical purchasing practices and collaboration with Legal on compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manages workflow for commodity manager duties: strategic sourcing, contract lifecycle management, and compliance/governance.
• Guides selection and management of strategic suppliers to meet cost and performance goals.
• Monitors market conditions, technology developments, supplier capacity, and customer requirements.
• Maintains knowledge of sourcing policies and contract policies.
• Leads negotiations and contracts with global suppliers to maximize benefits.
• Develops spend management strategies including supplier assessments and make-or-buy analyses.
