Job summary

Fervo Energy in Houston, TX is seeking a Sourcing and Contracts Lead, Operations to develop and execute procurement strategies for commissioning, operations, and production. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance, law, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, contract management in asset-intensive environments.
• Proven experience leading sourcing processes, evaluations, negotiations, and contract awards.
• Strong commercial judgment and knowledge of total cost of ownership, supplier risk, contract terms, and P2P controls.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and communicate with technical, operational, financial, legal, and executive stakeholders.
• High integrity and strong safety and compliance mindset.
• Proficiency with procurement tools and ability to learn new technology quickly.

Responsibilities

• Develop procurement strategies aligned with commissioning schedules, operating plans, production needs, asset criticality, and supply chain priorities.
• Lead end-to-end sourcing, including market analysis, bidder selection, RFx, evaluation, negotiation, award, and contract implementation.
• Contribute to MRO category strategy by analyzing spend, consolidating requirements, and establishing suppliers, pricing structures, and service models.
• Contract establishment and value delivery across materials, equipment, repair services, and other operational needs with Legal and stakeholders.
• Manage contracts from award through closeout, including obligations, pricing, changes, warranties, and performance reviews.
• Develop supplier relationship management approaches with segmentation, governance, scorecards, and improvement plans for strategic suppliers.
• Lead cross-functional sourcing teams and provide commercial recommendations balancing technical requirements, schedules, and total cost of ownership.
• Track pipeline, savings, contract coverage, supplier performance, and compliance.
• Improve procurement processes, templates, data quality, and digital workflows; train users on new technology.
• Prioritize safety in supplier selection, contracting, field service planning, and ongoing supplier management.
