Job summary

Vizient in Chicago, IL is seeking a Contract Sourcing Specialist to support development and execution of sourcing and contracting strategies that reduce spend and improve efficiency. You will draft, redline, and negotiate terms under guidance, and manage the full sourcing lifecycle from data analysis and RFPs to supplier engagement.

The role requires a relevant degree, 2+ years experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree preferred.
• 2 or more years of relevant experience required.
• Foundational experience in contract review, redlining, or negotiation support preferred.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with data and identify trends.
• Exceptional verbal communication and presentation skills, essential for supplier discussions and stakeholder alignment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
• Hybrid work model with three days per week in the office (Irving, TX; Chicago, IL; Centennial, CO).
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Assist in drafting and redlining contract terms under guidance of senior members and Legal.
• Participate in supplier negotiations by preparing materials and contributing to discussions.
• Support alignment between clients, suppliers, and internal teams by gathering information.
• Ensure contract documents reflect updates and adhere to standards.
• Elevate complex negotiation items to senior sourcing executives for guidance.
• Contribute to sourcing strategies by collecting data, market insights, and supplier information.
• Assist in RFP creation, distribution, and initial evaluations.
• Coordinate supplier communications and scheduling for sourcing activities.
• Support contract maintenance including amendments and renewals.
• Prepare communication materials summarizing sourcing progress and updates.
