Job summary

Vizient is seeking a sourcing and contracting professional to support development and execution of strategies that reduce spend and improve operational efficiency. You will draft, redline, and negotiate terms under guidance, spanning the full sourcing lifecycle from data analysis to supplier engagement and contract maintenance.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree preferred. Business, Supply Chain, Legal Studies, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of relevant experience required; healthcare sourcing and contracting experience preferred; perioperative/PPI exposure a plus.
• Foundational experience in contract review, redlining, or negotiation support preferred.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with data and identify trends.
• Exceptional verbal communication and presentation skills for supplier discussions and aligning stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
• Hybrid work model with three on-site days per week at Vizient offices (TX, CO, IL) or Worcester, MA client location.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Assist in drafting and redlining contract terms and conditions under senior guidance.
• Participate in supplier negotiations by preparing materials and contributing to discussions.
• Support alignment between clients, suppliers, and internal teams by gathering information and documenting updates.
• Ensure contract documents reflect agreed updates and adhere to standards.
• Elevate complex negotiation items to senior sourcing executives for guidance.
• Contribute to sourcing strategies by analyzing data, market insights, and supplier information.
• Assist in RFP creation, distribution, bid collection, and initial evaluations.
• Coordinate supplier communications and scheduling for sourcing activities.
• Support contract maintenance activities, including amendments, renewals, and pricing validations.
• Prepare communication materials summarizing sourcing progress, opportunities, and supplier updates.
