Teledyne Technologies Incorporated is seeking a Commodity Manager to drive strategic sourcing for assigned commodities, supporting manufacturing, engineering, and business operations. You will lead cost-effective procurement, supplier performance, and risk management aligned with corporate goals.

The role requires developing and executing commodity strategies, leading RFx processes, and maintaining supplier relationships to optimize cost and performance across programs.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing or commodity management.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and project management skills.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred) and sourcing tools.
• Knowledge of global supply chain dynamics and risk mitigation strategies.
• Professional certifications (CPSM, CPM, APICS) are a plus.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints/technical drawings and specifications.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs, on occasion.

Aufgaben

• Develop and implement commodity strategies using total cost of ownership principles.
• Lead RFx processes, supplier selection, and contract negotiations.
• Monitor market trends and adjust sourcing strategies accordingly.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers in alignment with corporate procurement policies.
• Monitor supplier performance, quality, and delivery metrics.
• Facilitate supplier risk assessments including cybersecurity and financial health.
• Partner with engineering, operations, and finance to align procurement with product development and production needs.
• Support new product introductions and cost reduction initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulations.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and contract metadata in ERP and sourcing platforms.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and cost savings.
• Lead initiatives to standardize and streamline procurement workflows.
