Job summary

Fameccanica North America is seeking a Sourcing/Category Buyer in West Chester, OH. You will source machined and engineered components, interpret drawings, and manage supplier relations to optimize cost, quality, and delivery.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 3+ years in strategic sourcing for custom components, with ERP and MS Office proficiency. You will collaborate with Engineering and Operations in a highly technical environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 3+ years in strategic sourcing or procurement.
• Experience with CNC machining, welding, sheet metal fabrication, casting, and heat treatment.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage sourcing categories for machined parts and engineered components.
• Source and develop suppliers for custom components made to technical drawings and specifications.
• Interpret 2D/3D engineering drawings, tolerances, specifications, and GD&T.
• Manage purchase orders and category spend.
• Issue RFQs, evaluate supplier quotes, and analyze cost and value.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, delivery, quality standards, and commercial terms with domestic and global suppliers.
• Manage supplier relationships, performance KPIs, and risks.
• Identify and implement cost savings and value-engineering improvements.
• Monitor markets, benchmark costs, and conduct cost analysis.
• Partner with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and other teams.
• Maintain accurate sourcing, pricing, and supplier data in ERP and SRM systems.
